Entering the Library

Put on the Student Card / Scan the barcode of the library card on the card reader of the top to open the gate. You are a temporary user, please write down your name and your address on the register book, and ask to the staff to open the gate.

Please keep your valuables with you. Food, drinks, and smoking are strictly prohibited in any part of the library to avoid damage to library stock and equipment, and disturbance to other users.

Reading

Open-shelf materials and Stack room materials are freely available to any user. After replacing any materials, please make sure to return them back properly where they were.

Photocopying

The self-service copy machine is located on the 1st floor. Fill in and submit the application form for photocopy before copying. To avoid copyright infringement, they are available only for library materials.

Circulation

To check out items, bring the items and your student ID card/ library card at the circulation desk. You may not take away any library item from the library without checkking out.
Please Note:
Materials labeled 館内 (non-circulation) and Magazines are not available for loan.
Care must be taken of books and all library materials. No user may mark, mutilate or annotate books, and any marking or damage found must be reported to the librarian.

standard loan

under-grade students: 7 items for 2 weeks
staff and post-grade students: 12 items for 4 weeks
*magazines are not for loan
*On the vacation period (spring, summer and winter), the loan period is longer according with the next term.

special loan

under-grade students :2 items for 8 weeks
staff and post-grade students: 4 items for 10 weeks
*magazines are not for loan
*the item number is included to the number of the standard loan(above).

Renewal

You may renewed the due date for an additional 2 weeks.

unless: another user has reserved them./ You are on the overdue penalty.

Reservations

You may reserve items, which is on loan. You will be notified when the itmes are available. They are kept at the circulation desk for 8 days after the notification.

Returning

All library materials are to be returned to the circulation desk where they were checked out. When the library is closed, drop them in the return box located at the front entrance.

Please Note:

If you have overdue books, your borrowing account will be suspended for same amount of overdue days from returning upto 14 days .
If you lost an borrowing item, you may be required to pay the cost of replacing.

Request to Purchase

Anyone qualified to use the library may make a request for the purchase of a book. Please submit one form of application for each item you request.
